EP110: 6Ts with Quality Control and the Medical Model

I used a wordplay about quality control and quality comfort. Then, I used a quote by Aristotle about quality.
In this week’s ROPE, I talked about how my dad spent 30 years in quality control. He dealt with the FDA and consent decrees. Consent Decrees were negotiated agreements with the FDA to make improvements and maintain quality. My dad had the idea that I needed to be fixed, like in the medical model of disability. My crutches were my management tools. They were part of my identity. My dad grew up with eyeglasses as part of his identity. My dad struggled with crutches when he had a short-term foot injury.
