I used a wordplay about instruments. Then, I used a quote by Joseph Campbell about the meaning of life. Next, I talked about Joseph Campbell, the hero’s journey, and learning in Star Wars.
In this week's RITE OF PASSAGE EXPERIENCES or ROPE, I talked about some of the disability myths that I experienced. One of the myths came from a basic misunderstanding of cerebral palsy as brain palsy. Another misunderstanding came from crutches being fragile medical devices instead of independence devices. I described and ascribed my own meaning to it. I used ski poles to explain one way of walking with crutches.
