I started with my own joke about how weird and wired are connected. Then I used a quote from Dr. Seuss. Next, I talked about the different types of loneliness. May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
In this week's RITE OF PASSAGE EXPERIENCES or ROPE, I talked about feeling weird and being wired differently. I mentioned the 4 aspects of disability decision-making. After that, I shared a Seuss style poem I wrote recently about being weird. Then I also talked about accidentally pushing over a computer in seventh grade in front of the whole class. I talked about the irony of the computer accident and later working for Nickelodeon.
