This week, I talk about how swimming and the pool propelled me past floating fears and frustrations. I start with a quote from Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. I recap episode 12 about Harvey Mackay.
I then talk about the UCP affiliate, Jawonio located in Rockland County, New York. I give some background on getting physical and occupational therapy at Jawanio. Then I talk about my experience with Camp Jawonio. Swimming was the most transformative experience for me after I flipped my understanding of balance in the water. It took years, but I went from a foot of water to floating past fear and frustration by pushing myself and other things around me with the help of camp counselors in the 1980s.

In this week's episode, I talked about Stephen J Cannell. He was a prolific writer who created many TV shows like the Rockford files, Renegade, Beretta among many others. He also struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia, throughout his school years. The first show of his that had an impressionable impact on me was The Greatest American Hero. The A-Team was another show that helped me to make better bets on myself.

In the latest episode, I reminded listeners about Shakespeare's use of dramatic irony. I also mentioned the use of cognitive dissonance and belief perseverance from the ninth episode. But my earliest literary influence was O'Henry. He made the use of ironic twists a trademark of his stories. The mismatch of expectations and reality greatly appealed to me. I ended the episode talking about the irony of having crutches. I even twisted the words together.

This week I talk about William Shakespeare and the existential crisis that parents experience when they have a child with a disability. There are compiled expectations which then become questionable. I then talk the definition of disinvent and changing it to Dis-invent to create solutions. There are two psychological tools, cognitive dissonance belief perseverance that can be used to build resistance of and risk strength. I finish the episode with a TIME acronym.

In this week's episode, I talk about successful failure and the in the compiling process unification that occurred between my mind and my body. I then talk about the different definitions of process. Over time, my mind and body became parts of a different operating system. There are similarities between disabilities and those actions or processes of a computer. I remind listeners of a song from the 80s called Mr. Roboto by Styx. I finish the episode talking about the acronym PICNIC.

Existentialism philosopher/author, Albert Camus wrote the Myth of Sisyphus. Next, I talk about the composition of words like weird, disorientation, and altruistic. Finally I share some poetry which contains powerful imagery and emotion. I also reveal two words that I re-engineered.
